I am adamant that artists should write their own music, with very few exceptions, they aren't artists if they don't.

Hey! The shows last night and the night before were such a blast. I'm sorry if I took your drumstick at the ended of the Photo Atlas' set.

No one in particular really, just some random songs and stuff. What about you? Sweet! Hopefully I can hear some of it sometime :)
Damn that's intense!! But that's great that you had fun at the first one!
Awesome! I can't wait to see what you're going to wear!! haha don't worry, I won't laugh at you, I'm probably going to be jealous though. My friend and I made tshirts yesterday... nothing spectacular, but they're unique. Have fun at the Blue Bird tonight!!! It sounds like they're super stoked to be back in CO, so I'm sure it will be sick! And hopefully I'll see you tomorrow!

Ballerado Chick: Nice! Same here, what bass heavy artists have you been listening to lately? Thanks a lot, and I bet and hope that is the case. When I get something decent I will probably post it on soundcloud when I think of a name and would appreciate some opinions.
Thanks. Sweet, way to do work!
They are pretty intense since it is vaulting at least 8hrs a day for 10 days each. One I have been going to for like five years in KS and I just really gel with the coach so I was the best and oldest there but it was really great. Then the other one was in CA and invite only for some of the better vaulters in college and that was nuts because it was pretty cut throat -the coaching was great- but as a whole it was just a lot less enjoyable.
Cool, cool. Yeah, I go in a hat and outfit and everything; so you will probably just laugh at me when you inevitably spot me sticking out like a sore thumb and all -but it is a blast. Are you doing anything special for the show?

Sick!! I love heavy bass! haha yeah I couldn't even imagine creating a full song on a program like that, it seems so complicated and time consuming, but that's awesome that you're working at it. I'm sure you'll get better at it as you work with it more. I'd love to here some if you ever wanted to share.
That's great!! Congrats!!! Yeah, I got straight A's except for my B in AP Chem, so I was pretty happy.
How were the pole vaulting camps? They sound kind of intense.
Yeah, I'm sure it will totally be worth the money!! I think we're going to leave Steamboat around 8 in the morning so we should get there around 12 depending on traffic and weather, although both should be good. Are you going to wear a crazy hat or anything? haha

Ball3rado: Pretty good, thanks for asking, yourself?
That I am. Are you going to both shows too or what?

Ballerado Chick: Thanks! I am working on some heavy bass tracks that have what I think are some pretty tight samples but it is a lot harder then most people think, admittedly I fell under the "most people" until I started trying, and being a bit of a perfectionist they are taking a while. That works, clarinet seems like it would be really hard.
Thanks again and that I did so I can't really ask for better. Did you have solid grades?
That is AWESOME! If you stay with them I bet it could lead to some really interesting things. That is true, way to look on the positive side. It went poorly since I already had two pole vault camps sent up I was going to so I have just been chilling when I have been in CO and since I have my scholarship my parents are pretty chill.
That is a bummer about the price difference -but it will be totally worth it. My favorite shows ever have been at The Fox and it is pretty much their home with their first bigger shows taking place there so they always seems to bring it a little bigger for the venue. Yeah, I am going to both shows so I am super stoked on that and I am going with two friends to The Bluebird and one for The Fox.
For the Fox show I am planning to be in line a little before or after noon, hopefully early enough to hear the sound check, when are you thinking you and your friend will get there?

  • (20110725T041106Z )

Ok so I was just wondering what time you were going to get in line at the Fox since the doors open at 7.... assuming that you're going. My friend and I are driving down from Steamboat in the morning.
