Now for starters, I'm a big fan. I listen to at least one song a day (at a minimum). I saw you guys live @ UPJ (University of Pitt-Johnstown), which was an AWESOME show. But I have to say, I don't know how I feel about the direction you guys are going, "Want" and the self-titled CD were Awesome and just so, different from anything else out there.

I'm still waiting to pass 100% judgement for Streets of Gold to come out, but the singles I have bought so far (all), I don't know, their good, but its NOT 3OH!3. You guys were making great music, but now I feel like its trying to be more directed at that station (every town has one) that plays the same damn song over and over again, until you just can't stand it anymore (cough, Train-Soul Sister... That song drives me nuts...) I know I'm one person, but I feel like a lot of your long time fans would agree with me, songs like Chokechain and Punkb*tch are constantly coming out of my car speakers, while I feel like this new stuff is not going to find a place in my regular rotation... Besides coming from someone who has seen your show live, I don't see how these new songs will transfer to how you guys perform on stage, I just don't see it fitting in with, again songs like Chokechain... Again, I'm one fan, and maybe my opinion is not consistent with everyone else..

ok, 3OH!3 is amazing and wehatever they do with their music will always be good, because they're 3OH!3! and i like the new CD, yea it's not like the old one, but that does NOT mean it's not good, it's awesome! And besides, if they want to change up their CD's a bit, thats nothing to get all upset over, they're still 3OH!3. So don't get all upset that this CD isn't like the others, bcuz they'll probably make another one like the old ones. I lovee 3OH!3!! They rock. and the new cd is amazing!

I agree with you that they have changed and Streets of Gold is a lot differnt from WANT. But If they had released an album that was just like WANT you'd probably be complaining that they're just making the same stuff over and over and it's getting boring. Yeah, Streets of Gold takes some adjusting to since we're all used to the intense hard stuff from their last two albums, but if you listen to it with an open mind it's really good. Plus, there are still a couple of songs that aren't going in a completely different direction (I Can Do Anything, House Party, Love 2012). You can't expect a band to keep the same sound. Like i said, it'd get boring and we'd probably all lose interest. It's still the same Nat and Sean. It's still 3OH!3, just a little more mature.

yeah, part of what i love so much about 3oh!3 is the intensity their songs had. we know they put on a fucking blow your face off show, but in WANT, that intensity is heard even in the studio recordings. with SOG, it feels like the songs are more mellow and poppy so it's different. still love 3oh!3 though and knowing them, they'll know how to make the shows with the new songs so much fun and still intense... just really different. honestly i wouldn't have expected some of the songs on SOG to be what 3oh!3 would release (like "i know how to say") but all of the songs are still fun

I'll admit I'd only heard of 3OH!3 when 'Don't Trust Me' blew up, and I remember hearing the song and thinking "what the fuck, this is kind of awesome" , and after a while I went back and found their albums and downloaded them (and I even own the physical CD of Want now). But when I was listening to Want... I was still thinking "Wtf am I listening to?" but I liked it... and it's not normally the music I usually listen to... because I like pop music the best, which I guess is why I love 'Don't Trust Me' so much... but what I'm trying to say is that I love their old stuff, and I love their new stuff... it's still them. You can't just say "It's NOT 3OH!3" because it IS. ALL musicians change their sound in each album they go on to make... I can't think of one person/group who hasn't done that.

Don't forgot that Sean and Nat DO listen to music like their 'old stuff', and like their 'new stuff'... so it's not like their 'new stuff' isn't music they like or anything.. (if that makes sense).

That's my opinion anyway! I hate it when the "true fans" say things like this. If you were a true fan, then why aren't you supporting them with this? Even if you don't particularly like their "new sound" or some of the new songs... =/

Listened to the whole CD (Streets of Gold) today... And I agree House Party is the only one remotely similar to the real 3OH!3... I really had a hard time listening out complete songs... My conclusion is this is the direction: To make it on those "Hit" stations that over play music, as well as match Asher Roth's "I love college"... Because almost every song has a similar tone, nothing special, and almost all talk about the same thing, drinking, partying, hooking up... Hey I understand they need to make money and all, and maybe this is the only way to do it. But hell guys, it seemed like you really enjoyed your first two CD's and thats what you guys started with so obviously it was an interest, but now your going away, and Hey maybe you guys like what your doing now in a music sense, but if not, don't sell out. Your popularity was growing so much just with the old CD's, it takes sometime to get off the ground. I hope you guys read this, and Hey if your enjoying what you did with Streets of Gold, GO FOR IT! I'm just saying I know a lot of people LOVE the old 3OH!3...

new CD is nothing like there old stuff, only song that mildly resembles it is house party. I love 3oh!3 but they're selling out to be main stream. really sucks they killed their band.

I love them so much and I love their old songs soooo much! But I also really love the new stuff! But I do agree with you. Their new songs are a lot more produced than their old raw stuff. I do miss the old 3OH!3 but hey, like I said before, I still love their old songs and I don't think I'll ever get tired of them. And it doesn't seem like fame has changed them as people either because they're still incredibly nice and personable!
